Objectives

• To develop students of the institute as socially responsible citizens.

• To sensitize our students on various social issues in order to promote contribution from their side.

• To create awareness in society regarding variety of issues to improve standard and quality of life.

• To organize workshops /campus to serve to the society.

• To involve maximum students’ participation in social welfare activity to impart social responsibility amongst all students.

Financial Assistance to the Students

All types of State, Centre and University Scholarships are offered to the students in the college. Fee concessions are awarded to the deserving students from the student aid fund. Students belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes are covered under the various schemes available from the Centre government, State government. Application form for Government of India/State Government Scholarships from the department concerned are duly informed and students are advised to submit them duly completed within one week from the date of admission. The applicants for the fee concession are interviewed by the Principal and the Fee Committee.

Book Bank

The institution has book bank facility. Book bank facility is provided to the needy students. They are provided with complete set of text books as per the syllabus. The students can procure books for the entire session on the recommendation of the library committee. The contribution to the book bank is in the shape of the books which the faculty members and the students also, offer time to time. This has really created a difference in the lives of many.

Remedial Classes

Every batch of new students in each department is assigned a tutor/mentor. The Head of the Faculty along with the class tutor/mentor interacts with the student and parents in order to identify areas of student potential as well as areas where remedial assistance is required. The students interact with their respective class teachers regarding their curricular and co-curricular needs. The College encourage student-student support system through helping the academically weaker students by the high performers.Remedial Coaching and Student Support Programme are ways devised by the college to help academically weaker students. The remedial programme with the support of Panjab University is designed on the basis of faculty’s analysis at the beginning of every semester regarding students’ performance.
